How to delete your account
From the app or the website, in a few taps. You don't need to contact us.
In the Occasio app: open Account, then Delete account.
On the web: sign in at occasio.events, open Settings, and choose Delete account.
We email you to confirm, with the date it happens and a link to keep your account. If you have upcoming events, money still on its way to or from you, or open refunds or disputes, we tell you what to clear first.
When it happens
7 days after you ask. You can cancel any time before.
Your account is deleted 7 days after you ask. Until then everything works as usual, and you can cancel from Settings, the app, or the link in our email. We email you again when it is done.
Your upcoming tickets stay valid after deletion, so save them to your wallet or as a PDF first.
What we delete
Your personal information and everything tied to your sign-in.
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your sign-in, passkeys and saved events
- Your host profile, photo and cover
- Your notifications and team access
What we keep, and for how long
Only what the law requires, without your name or email on it.
- Order, payout and tax records, which the law requires us to keep, without your name or email on them
- Reviews you wrote, shown without your name
In detail, we keep:
- Orders and refunds: what was bought, when, for how much, and the last four digits and brand of the card, shown as "Deleted user"
- Our accounting ledger, payouts and invoices, which carry no name or email
- For hosts: tax forms (legal name and the last four digits of the tax ID), the host and payout agreements you signed, and the reference to your account with our payment processor, which we need if a chargeback arrives later
- Reviews you wrote, without your name
- Reports you made about events, without your name or email
- A record that you opted out of email, and any bounce or complaint for your address, so we never email it by mistake
- Security and admin logs of actions taken on accounts, which can't be edited
We keep these records for as long as tax and financial law requires, usually several years, and then delete them. Our payment processor keeps its own records under its privacy policy.
